    Ya know, I never realised
That moving LJs and telling everyone exactly where my new LJs are was "hiding". But then, I guess it must be just that to those who can't see my FO posts and are too dumb to work out the clues in my LJUI.

    Pretty dresses
Finally getting straps put on my ballgown tonight. It's so gorgeous. (Well, it should be, for how much it cost to get it made!) Actually, I need more evening gowns for the concerts and posh dos. I only have 5 or 6 at the mo. 3 fitted, 2 ballgown, and 1 cocktail dress. They're gorgeous - everyone admires them - but I do rather have a reputation to maintain. Which means more flash dresses. However will I cope? :p

Man I wish I was in Aberystwyth right now
I hear that Oliver! is going down extremely well - apparently even some West End bigwigs have been spotted. Always wanted to see that show. Typical that it should be running the year after I finish Uni!

    As promised
Piccies from holiday. Quite a few, really. Some from 2003, and some from 2004. (Behind an LJ-cut to save your Friends pages). Mostly of me, though there are a few of where we visited - some quite interesting buildings/cities.

    Pics here )

On a side note, interesting isn't it that the French have 2 words for "beautiful". One of which is far more commonly used that the other, and also happens to be a very well-known girl's name...

    Well
London is all booked. Seats for Phantom, meal in a restaurant nearby, double room in a plush hotel, shopping trip have all been arranged & deposits paid. We're going in mid-Jan. Don't ask exactly when, cos I've forgotten and Ian has all the confirmation print-outs.

Lol. I was painting my nails earlier while we were watching Constantine (good film, btw), then told Ian off for turning the light out after he'd got me a cup of tea cos I wanted to redo my lippy. His reply was along the lines of "No you're bloody not!" so I told that this is what it will be like when he eventually starts living with someone. "Yeah, but when I see them all day everyday I won't mind". Of course, I had to ask if this means he wants to see me all day everyday. Apparently, it did. All together now - "Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh". Lol.

Won't be around Saturday, btw. Shopping (with Ian), then house parties (with Ian - yup that was plural), then staying the night at Ian's so probably won't get home til Sunday afternoon. Tell you what, I have bought the sexiest little catsuit from Ebay. Hoping it fits, cos if it does (and if it arrives in time) Ian will not believe his eyes.

Pic (not a good one. I know what it looks like, though - I used to own a similar one before it got a cigarette burn and had to be binned):

    Tell me, little girl
If you are so innocent, as you have always claimed - if everything was your mother/friends/hackers/imposters - then why do you need anybody's "kindness and understanding"? That shouldn't be an issue. Unless, of course, you were the instigator and in the wrong. Ooh, could this be a subtle confession?
    1:59 pm
    All right bar one
And I'll let you guess which bit of this is wrong about me:

    The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when things are straight-forward, and you're told that you're loved.

You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.

Your ideal relationship is open. Both of you can talk about everything... no secrets.

Your risk of cheating is 100%. You are not suited for a monogamous relationship.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily.

    How true!
    You Should Learn French

C'est super! You appreciate the finer things in life... wine, art, cheese, love affairs.
You are definitely a Parisian at heart. You just need your tongue to catch up...

On a side note, she claims the drama is over, yet keeps it going by editing her LJ to make it look like people are bugging her when nobody's said a word. Will she ever learn?

    Ooh, btw
Discovered old pics of me last night. Gonna post them in my blog, though. Pics take up too much room on Friends pages, I'm told. You all know the address.
    9:09 pm
    Ok, so I lied
about not being around for a while. I forgot my Nan has the Internet.

Went to see A Chorus Line last night. Good show. I've come out with at least 3 new songs to sing in concerts - Nothing, Dance:10, Looks:3, and What I Did For Love. There were some fabulous singers and actors, as well as dancers but, if I may say so, their soprano line was a little weak.

    OMG:

What You Really Think Of Your Friends

    Charlotte is your soulmate.
    You truly love Ayse.
You consider Grace your true friend.
You know that Sarah is always thinking of you.
You'll remember Sarah G for the rest of your life.
You secretly think Jen is creative, charming, and a bit too dramatic at times.
You secretly think that Josie is colorful, impulsive, and a total risk taker.
You secretly think that Gem is loyal and trustworthy to you. And that Gem changes lovers faster than underwear.
You secretly think Liz is shy and nonconfrontational. And that Liz has a hidden internet romance.

Most of that is quite wrong, but the bit about Gem and boyfriends is OMFG so true!!!

Seen my Uncle. He's not as bad as I thought he would be. But it was such a shock seeing him like that - bald, and he's put on weight thanks to the steroids (they're weaning him off those before he starts his chemo again). I could see the lump where the tumour is. He used to be so fit, but now he spends most of the day lying on the sofa asleep - he just can't stay awake. He's been having fits as well, so they've changed his medication. He's trying to get out and about, but walking is difficult because the commands won't travel from his brain to his limbs properly. Fortunately, my Aunt is a nurse, so she knows what to expect and what to do. She's being amazingly strong - even joking about his condition with us!

Wow, gorgeous Pineapple trousers I adore are only £10 now!! I already have one pair, but think I'll get two more - they fit so well and this pair are already fading.

Yeah, I'm mad. Deal with it. Lol.

Won't be around for a bit
Going to visit my Uncle before he begins his chemo.

Try to keep the Penny thing to a minimum so I don't miss too much, yeah?

    London bombings update.
There have been a series of minor blasts around London. There is only one injury. Three lines were closed and many of the roads in Central London, but they are all slowly reopening. The blasts may have been near simultaneous and, for the present, are being linked with the attacks of 07/07.

Reports of a nailbomb and shootings have not been confirmed.

    Birmingham evacuation last night
For those who saw the news, don't worry - we're all ok up here.

For those who didn't, Birmingham (about 15 miles from me & where I commute to for work. Britain's "second city") city centre was evacuated at about 10pm last night and 4 controlled explosions were carried out - one on a bus and 3 on suspect packages. News was sketchy at first (we kept up-to-date with it via our mobiles - gotta love WAP - cos we were all out in Walsall), but it appears from all the preparation (school dinner ladies providing tea and food etc) that it was a pre-planned drill. They seem to have been testing the procedures.

    Message for Melanie
You claim that saying Tony Blair was asking for it was not saying that the people of Britain were asking for it.

Stupid bitch. Do you not realise that a Government is representative of the people? That for symbolism's sake the Government is the people, and vice versa? Do you not realise that the way terrorists get to governments is by attacking the citizens of the country, rather than by going for the heads of State?

Do you not comprehend that any joke making light of Thursday's events in any way, but especially saying you wish somebody had been caught up in them is sick, base, moronic, and extremely tasteless? That no matter who your comments were aimed at, they offend those who were caught up in the tragedy and those who have suffered directly through injury or through knowing someone who was killed or injured?

Lastly, do you not realise that Canada is a member of the Commonwealth? That by making such comments about events in Great Britain, ruled by a Queen whom your own country recognises and is subject to that you have expressed disloyalty to your own people, contempt for your own country?

    Are you really that thick?

I have said it on the PB Blog and I will say it here, too.

Girl, you have no idea what you are talking about, so don't bother expressing an opinion. I have never been prouder of my country and its people. Our emergency services, as well as our civilians, have done us proud. I am reassured by my Government's strength and determination, and with their clear ability to handle such events in a calm and organised manner. And I have never been more proud of my Queen. Her mother (God rest her soul) was a fine example during WWII, never leaving London even during the Blitz, visiting hospitals, bomb sites, and the military. She taught her daughter well.

You say you've won several grand. Well, good for you. Maybe all of that money will keep you happy when your sick, selfish attitude drives all those you care for away.

You could have Bill Gates' fortune ten times over and I wouldn't be jealous of you. I pity you. Your mind and soul are so twisted. You have nothing I can ever be jealous of. You never will. I'd rather be me - hard-working, middle-class, normal - and be able to grieve for the deaths of people I never knew than be a rich fucked-up little bitch who cares for nobody but herself.

As for your pathetic excuse that you posted that message because a completely different person made comments about your dead grandmother:

That is not true you disgusting excuse for a human being. Your own mother blamed your grandmother for your problems with Peter Karrie, said it was her who made you continue going to concerts when you were uncomfortable or when your mother thought he was overly friendly. Your mother used your grandmother as a scapegoat because she cannot contradict her. We told your mother that she was sick for blaming those events on her dead parents, that it was her own fault and no-one else's. We stuck up for your dead grandparents when your mother was trying to get everyone else to say what terrible decisions they made and how thoughtless they were. So don't you dare say anything about my country and my dead countrymen.

You know what? I knew when I heard the news. I just knew you would come out with crap like you did. Does that please you? Is that the reputation you wanted? Congratulations - you got it!

Which Naughty Little Pony are you?
    You Are Subversion!
You are systematic and secretive. Sometimes even very calculating. Most everyone trusts you but they have no idea what really goes on in your head. You are capable of being nice or mean, whatever a situation calls for. You look out for #1.
